I'm a cruisey, down-to-earth lass in her early 30's who, simply put, just loves love! I live in Wodonga and have done so for most of my life. When I'm not here working or hanging with friends and family, you'll either find me in Melbourne at some sort of show or concert, or in Geelong spending time with family there. In a nutshell, I'm a quirky Millennial, a musical theatre lover, and a self-professed nerd who loves paperwork (I know, I know – but someone has to!).
I'll be honest – becoming a wedding celebrant wasn't exactly Plan A. After leaving my nursing career, I found myself a bit lost and paying my dues in retail while figuring out my next move. Classic quarter-life crisis stuff, you know?
Then in 2018, I went to two weddings on back-to-back weekends. I'm watching these celebrants do their thing, and I'm thinking "that looks pretty cool" at the first one, then "wait, I could totally do that!" at the second.
So naturally, I went home and fell down a Google rabbit hole about becoming a celebrant. I finished my Cert IV in Celebrancy at the end of 2019 and got my Commonwealth Registration in 2020... just in time for the world to shut down for a few years. Perfect timing, right?
I started out thinking this was just going to be a side hustle for family and friends. But when the world reopened and I did my very first wedding in early 2022, it became very clear that this is what I wanted to spend most of my time doing. I now have the privilege and honour of marrying folks full time!
I genuinely want to get to know you! That's why I always suggest we have a coffee first (my treat) to see if we click. If we don't vibe, that's totally okay – I'd rather you find the right person than settle.
Okay, I'm definitely a perfectionist when it comes to the legal stuff. You'll probably get sick of me double-checking everything, but hey, at least you'll know your marriage is bulletproof!
Your ceremony should be about YOUR story, not some generic script about love that makes everyone cringe. We're going to focus on what actually matters to you two.
My ceremony style is quite relaxed and personal – I love throwing in a cheeky pop-culture reference or a subtle nod to your favourite movie or song. I LOVE including your loved ones in your ceremony, especially the fur babies and the kids (they're my absolute favourites to include!).
I'm not the type to make your ceremony all about me or turn it into some big performance. That's just not who I am! Instead, I bring warmth, a bit of cheekiness, and the kind of energy that helps everyone actually relax and enjoy themselves.
My aim is to inject enough of your personality and the quirks of your relationship into your ceremony that people walk away knowing it was unique to you guys and included all the things special to you!
